Sequoia Shuttle

Through a partnership with the National Park Service and the City of Visalia, the Sequoia Shuttle was developed as a way to cut down on congestion and pollution in Sequoia National Park, as well as bolster tourism for the gateway city of Visalia.

Archer & Hound—The Challenge

With an understanding of tourism marketing and public transportation—two categories that don’t normally cross-pollinate—our team knew that the marketing infrastructure was crucial to the success of the Shuttle.

We developed a website that was easy to navigate for local, regional, and international travelers. We also created itineraries, maps, and routes that could appeal to all visitors. Online reservations, trip-planning guides, group sales, media ambassador programs, and engaging social media posts were produced and managed during each season.

With a well-developed first-party database of email subscribers, social followers, and key media relationships, season kick-off consistently started with an upswing, yielding year-over-year growth in ridership. Locals and travelers alike continue to look forward to the annual launch of Sequoia Shuttle.
