Tulare County Department of Behavioral Health

Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Awareness Campaign

Web, Media, Video
Empowering connection. Normalizing support. Saving lives. When the Tulare County Department of Behavioral Health set out to address suicide prevention in their community, they needed more than a message—they needed a movement. The goal was twofold: reach individuals at risk of crisis and equip the people closest to them—trusted messengers—to recognize the signs and respond with care.

The A&H Treatment

Our team developed and launched TC HelpLink, a comprehensive campaign and digital resource hub designed to remove stigma, prompt action, and promote connection. The campaign included two strategic tracks: one speaking directly to middle-aged men—an audience often underrepresented in mental health conversations—and one focused on empowering spouses, coworkers, community leaders, and clinicians to act as the “link to help.” Through messaging that was empathetic, direct, and stigma-free, we created approachable campaign identities—meeting people where they are without judgment. Simultaneously, we armed trusted messengers with clear steps and framed their role as allies, not saviors, with “Be The Link.”
