Central Coast Classico

Experiential Marketing

Design, Branded Merch, Web
Experiential tourism can do more than draw visitors—it can shape destination identity, strengthen partnerships, and drive meaningful economic impact. When Eroica California ceased operations, the Central Coast lost more than a popular cycling event. It lost a tourism asset that had brought thousands of riders and their travel companions into local communities each year. Archer & Hound saw an opportunity not just to replace what was lost, but to help create a new event designed specifically for the region and built to support its long-term growth.

The A&H Treatment

Working alongside event leadership, community stakeholders, tourism partners, and local businesses, we helped develop Central Coast Classico from the ground up. Our team created the event’s brand identity and positioning, designed a tourism-focused website and registration experience, and developed marketing collateral and destination storytelling that reflected the character of the Central Coast. Just as importantly, we helped shape the event as more than a single-day ride—positioning it as a multi-day destination experience with expanded route options, visitor itineraries, and additional reasons for participants and their families to stay longer and explore more of the region.

The Results

The result was a locally owned experiential tourism platform that transformed a regional challenge into an opportunity for long-term destination growth. Central Coast Classico established a new event brand rooted in community identity, created more flexibility for future expansion, and strengthened collaboration among tourism organizations, lodging partners, local businesses, and event organizers. What began as the loss of an international event became a more resilient regional asset—one designed to evolve with the destination and continue creating value for years to come.

Let’s make something great together.
