Sequoia Shuttle

Web, Public Relations, Social Media

For more than a decade, Archer & Hound has partnered with the City of Visalia, the National Park Service, and regional tourism stakeholders to promote the Sequoia Shuttle—a seasonal transportation program connecting overnight visitors in Visalia with Sequoia National Park. What began as a mobility and sustainability initiative became something bigger: an opportunity to position Visalia not as a pass-through stop, but as an essential part of the park experience.

The A&H Treatment

Our team helped build the Sequoia Shuttle into a fully integrated destination marketing program. That included developing and managing the shuttle website, creating seasonal campaigns, refining the reservation journey, and producing trip-planning content that made it easier for visitors to stay overnight, ride the shuttle, and explore Visalia before and after their park visit.

We also supported the program through public relations, earned media, digital advertising, social campaigns, email marketing, and ongoing coordination with public agencies, hospitality partners, and regional stakeholders.

Rather than marketing transportation as the destination, we positioned the shuttle as the connection between a vibrant gateway community and one of California’s most iconic national parks.

The Results

The result is a long-running tourism program that has helped increase awareness, simplify visitor planning, and strengthen Visalia’s role as the preferred gateway to Sequoia National Park. Over time, the Sequoia Shuttle has become an important part of the region’s tourism infrastructure—supporting overnight visitation, local business activity, and broader goals around sustainability, access, and park congestion reduction.

Let’s make something great together.
